Cyber criminals areโฏpreying on fears of the coronavirus (COVID-19), and sending scam emails that try and trick people into clicking on a bad link.ย Theguidance from the National Cyber Security Centreย and other organisationsย explains what to do if you’ve already clickedย on something that could be a scam or phishing email, and provides some of theย tell-taleย signs of scam emails to look out for, how to protect your devices, how to use video-conferencing servicesย safely and how to be cyber aware at home.ย
There is also a usefulย downloadableย document from Age UK that talks about how to avoid doorstep, mail, phone, pension or financial scams and identity theft which may be useful to forward on to older or more vulnerable friends or family but has some useful advice we could all useย to stay Scam Safe.ย ย
