The Dads Stay & Play Drop-in session aims to foster a supportive and enriching environment for families and provides you with an opportunity to actively engage in playful activities with your children. The session emphasises the importance of quality time spent between male carers and their children as well as engaging with other male carers.
Here are some of the engaging activities that are offered at the sessions:
- Craft corner- providing materials to get creative, messy and have lots of fun!
- Story time- In the cosy corner created for male carers and their children to sit together and enjoy a selection of books.
- Building challenge- Lego, building blocks, recycled materials etc are provide to encourage male carers and their children to work together to build towers, bridges or whatever their imaginations inspires.
- Music- The music corner is set up with a variety of instruments like drums, tambourines and maracas for all to jam together and make some noises and even dance to their favourite tune!
- Outdoors- In the outdoor area everyone is welcomed to explore and engage ย with the water play, mud, cornflour etc.
Each month the activities offer a diverse range of options that cater to different interest and ages, ensuring that thereโs something fun for everyone to enjoy together.
Refreshments are provided to keep everyone energised and hydrated throughout the session.
