Who are we?

We are Speech and Language Therapists and Therapy Assistants who work in the under 5’s or Over 5’s Teams.  We are trained to work with children with a wide range of speech, language, communication and eating and drinking needs.  Many of us have undertaken additional specialist training.

Are you worried about your child’s talking?

Would you like advice about how to help your child’s communication? Why not come to one of our drop-in clinics for a chat with a speech and language therapist?  No appointment necessary. Your child must be registered with a Lewisham GP.

Mondays 1.30pm to 4pm

Parking at Kaleidoscope is strictly limited and there are a few parking spaces for the disabled. Please note that parking in the surrounding roads are mostly permit holders only, with only a few ‘pay at meter’ spaces.

 

Who do we work with?

We see children and young people from birth – 18 years, who have a Lewisham GP, or are residents of Lewisham, or who attend a Lewisham school and who have difficulties in at least one of the following areas:

• Paying attention and understanding what is said to them
• Expressing themselves, making sentences and talking
• Understanding the rules of conversation, social interaction and playing with others
• Forming words and speaking clearly
• Getting stuck on words/stammering
• Using their voices appropriately
• Eating and drinking

We are available between 9am to 5pm, Mondays to Fridays excluding bank holidays.
